Franklin BYOD Pairing Code Process

This article provides an overview of how customers can enroll Franklin Home Power battery devices.

Prerequisites: The device installer or customer must first access the Tariff Schedule page of the FranklinWH App and select their provider under “Utility Company” in order to complete the steps below.

Customers should follow the steps below to enroll their Franklin Home Power batteries. Program managers should share these steps as needed with their customers.

  1. Install and log into the homeowner account in the FranklinWH App.
  2. Select the three-line menu icon in the top left corner and select “Virtual Power Plant.”
  3. Select “How to get a Pairing Code” to go to the BYOD registration page. After selecting the “Start Pairing” button in the BYOD form, you will be shown a pairing code in the form. Enter the Pairing Code in the FranklinWH App and select the aGate to enroll.
  4. Enter the pairing code and select the correct aGate, then select “Subscribe”.

Once enrolled, customers can access the “Program Details” page by selecting “Virtual Power Plant.” Customers can add or remove aGates or unenroll from programs from this page.

To see demand response event details from the FranklinWH App, navigate to the “Program Details” page and select an individual registered aGate.

The FranklinWH app will send push notifications to customers about upcoming events.
