This article provides guidance on where to locate your energy storage system's device information by manufacturer for customers who are enrolling into a utility program or pilot.
Entering an incorrect device number will cause a delay in approving your enrollment, as additional help from the support team will be required to process your application.
Tesla Powerwall
Tesla serial number should begin with the letter T, G, or C. Please do not include the leading letter “S” in the serial number in your enrollment application.
You can find your Gateway serial number, which is the password for Backup Gateway and Non-Backup Gateway, on the bottom of the home screen in the Tesla app. If you scroll to the bottom of the home screen on the app, you will see Serial: Tap to Reveal.
SolarEdge Inverter
The serial number can be found at the bottom of the inverter label which is located on the right side of the inverter. It is important the second string of numbers, following the first hyphen in the serial, begins with "07".

Generac PWR Cell (Previously Pika)
You need to identify your inverter's RCP* number which can be found by locating the tag at location A, reviewing page ii of your installation manual, or by clicking into the control panel. This number typically start in 000 and is approximate 12 characters long. You may also contact your installer or Generac support for this information.
*If you have trouble identifying the RCP number, you may submit the serial number formatted as XXXXX-XXXXX.
Sonnen
Your serial number is located on the side of your battery system. Your serial number should be provided along with your manual. You may also find it on your Sonnen dashboard.
Sunverge
You can find the component’s serial number on the front or it’s side. You can find the serial number of the cabinet on the top of the left side panel. The number will start with “S.N.” and be 5 digits long.
